• Responsible for world-wide training, organizational and executive development.

1973-79 Gestalt Psychotherapist and Organizational Consultant
In conjunction with graduate work at Gestalt Institute of New England and the Associates for Human Resources in Lexington, MA, began private practice as a Gestalt Psychotherapist and organizational consultant.
In addition to working with individual clients and families, had contracts with the following organizations during this period:
• South Shore Alcohol Providers Association. Contracted and received a grant to do extensive
study and training on the effects of family communications and values and their influence on
alcohol abuse. Worked with seven churches of different denominations throughout southeast
Massachusetts forming training and study groups in each, with pre and post testing to
determine the effectiveness of the training and the effectiveness of the group to continue to
provide family communications, values training, and crisis counseling needs through their church
to the local community.
• St Anne’s Hospital of Fall River, MA. Organizational development contract involving
administration and staff, and the owners, which were a convent of Nuns.
• The Third Nail, Roxbury, MA. Was the first therapeutic drug community in New England, self-supported and unfunded, dealing with heroin addiction. Founded and managed by ex-heroin addicts. Contracted with this organization, teaching crisis counseling skills, management skills, and group therapy skills and dynamics.
• Steven’s Home for Boys, Taunton, MA. Contracted to train staff in crisis counseling skills and
techniques, and Gestalt therapy techniques and skills, and the use of wilderness adventures as a therapeutic model.
• Family Services of Fall River, MA. Consulted with staff on organizational issues, trained and
supervised staff on gestalt therapy techniques, counseled with clients through this organization.
• Project Place, Rutland St, Boston, MA. This newly founded organization serviced the poor and homeless in Boston, and those that could not get support from other social service and mental health agencies . Worked with a group of six that received grants from NIMH to provide crisis counseling and crisis counseling skill training to a variety of organizations, including universities, schools, hospitals, churches, social service agencies and self-help groups.

2012-2017 Board of Directors, Streetlight Ministries, Woodbridge, VA. Ministry to the homeless in Northern Virginia.
2002-2012 Teaching, Counseling. Involved with friends from Seacoast Vineyard in teaching Alpha for Teen programs. Conducted counseling, marriage and teen counseling. Led wilderness adventure teen and family therapy activities.
Relocated to Woodbridge, VA, knowing the Lord called us to the Pathway Vineyard to participate and minister in a wide variety of areas.
1995-2002 Senior Pastor, Seacoast Vineyard Christian Fellowship, Byfield, MA. Founded this
new, start-up church as part of the Vineyard Christian Fellowship, USA, organization, including recruiting and training senior leaders, incorporating and extensive fund raising. The church grew from 50 to over 200 during this period.
1993-1995 Church Planter, Seacoast Vineyard Christian Fellowship, Salisbury, MA. We began
meeting at our home in Salisbury, MA, with friends interested in planting a new Vineyard church. This group grew to fifty.
1990-93 Small Group Leader, Ministry Leader, and Teacher at Melrose Vineyard Christian
Fellowship, Melrose, MA. Mark Fee was the Pastor, and we became part of the leadership group, teaching and leading classes on parenting, discipline, and leading Friday night worship and praise service. Sharon and I led a group for singles for two years. During this period of time, Sharon and I participated in the first Vineyard Pastors training program. We traveled extensively across the country to attend and participate in this training at various Vineyards. John Wimber led many of these sessions.
1988-1990 Vineyard Christian Fellowship of New Bedford, MA. Ken Gulliksen, the founder of the Vineyard movement, had planted this Vineyard and we became good friends
1985-1988 Deacon, Small Group Leader, and Teacher at First Baptist Church, Newburyport, MA.
Developed and led the Young Adult program, and implemented the Pioneer Clubs program for younger boys and girls. Led and adult Sunday school class for two years that met as a house group during the week. Member of the Board of Deacons, and led a Friday evening worship and prayer service where the sick were prayed for. Led a Young Adult program in our home for non-church young adults for four years.
1982-1985 Church Planter, Esher Green Baptist Church, Esher, Surrey, UK. Part of a small
fellowship group of four families that planted the Esher Green Baptist Church. Sharon and I began a young adult group which quickly grew to over fifty and comprised over half the new church. The church grew to over 150 in two years.
1978-1982 Member of the Board of Directors of New England Camp Cherith, Lyman, ME. A
Christian summer camp for girls. Provided organizational consulting and counseling, along with crisis counseling training for staff. Led workshops on wilderness adventures and the use of ropes courses in building relationships and teamwork.
1977-1982 East Baptist Church, Lynn, MA. Conservative Baptist Church. Saved and filled with the Holy Spirit, which is unusual for a Conservative Baptist Church. Led and taught in the young adult program. Counseled with many in the church and developed a crisis counseling group that serviced church members and the community.
